2020 will be the year of Chandrayaan-3 and Gaganyaan; More than 25 missions planned: Isro chief
BENGALURU: The president of Isro said Wednesday that 2020 will be a year of Chandrayaan-3 and (India's planned human space flight mission).
The TOI was the first to report on November 14 that the space agency began work on Chandrayaan-3 and then also revealed the story of the new project director.
Chandrayaan-3 will have a landing, rover and propulsion module. The government approved the project and we formed the project team. Work continues smoothly, Sivan said.
Sivan said a lot of design work has been completed for Gaganyaan: There will be several tests we will do this year. In addition, the four final chosen astronauts have been selected and will begin training in Russia from the third week of January.
He also said that Ganaganyaan's first unmanned flight is also the goal of this year. He lessened fears that these large-ticket projects would hinder other missions. Sivan said: We are seeing more than 25 missions this year.
