CBI probe ordered for regularization of the decades-long absence of J&K engineer

SRINAGAR: The Governor's Administration Has Ordered An Investigation To Regularize Ten Years Unauthorized Absence Of A Well Connected Technician And His Subsequent Appointment As Managing Director (MD) Of J&K Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) By Two Successive PDP R&B Ministers, Said An Official Spokesperson. However, Taking Serious Note Of The Case, The Administration On Saturday Also Decided To Refer This Case To The CBI For A Thorough Investigation And Action.

The Spokesperson Said That This Was An Important Step For The Government To Clean Up The Functioning Of JKPCC By Stopping And Eliminating Obsolete Agreements And Line Violations.

The Appointment Of Shonthu As MD, Who Was Illegal From The Outset, Was Also Referred To The CA For Filing An FIR And Taking Further Action, According To An Official Statement.
