Draft amendment to the Constitution presented in Lok Sabha

NEW DELHI: A bill that seeks to extend for ten years the reservation given to SC and ST in Lok sabha and state assemblies was introduced in Lok sabha on Monday.

A similar reservation for the community in Lok sabha and state assemblies is not being extended.

The reservation granted to the SC, ST and the Anglo-Indian community during the last 70 years will end on January 25, 2020.
