Uddhav Thackeray meets PM Modi for the first time after becoming CM

PUNE: Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray received the prime minister Narendra Modi on Friday.

It was the first meeting of the two leaders after Thackeray separated from the BJP ally and formed a government led by Shiv Sena in Maharashtra with the support of Congress and the PCN last month.

The Prime Minister will attend the national conference of general directors and general police inspectors held in Pune.

After receiving the prime minister, Thackeray went to Mumbai, state government officials said.

The BJP leader and opposition leader in the assembly was also present when Modi arrived at the airport.
