Uddhav Thackeray meets Modi for the first time after becoming CM

PUNE: The Prime Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, received the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Pune airport on Friday night.

It was the first meeting of the two leaders after Thackeray separated from the BJP ally and formed a government led by Shiv Sena in Maharashtra with the support of Congress and the PCN last month.

The prime minister will attend the national conference of general directors and general police inspectors held in Pune.

After receiving the prime minister, Thackeray went to Mumbai, state government officials said.

Minister of Interior of the Union Amit Shah The governor of Maharashtra and the leader of BJP also greeted Modi at the airport.
