Pointing out that Volkswagen will transition to BSVI vehicles post December 2019, he said the company will only be churning out petrol vehicles after the new fuel emission norms kick in.

Knapp, who was in town for the opening of its 20th corporate business center, said the Volkswagen group (including Skoda) has charted out a Rs 8,000 crore investment plan till 2022, which includes the launch of new models and the R&D center that it has set up in Pune and plans to ramp up to 5,000 engineers from the existing 650-odd techies.
