Cong attacks the UP government over the Unnao incident and asks why the prime minister is silent

NEW DELHI: Congress attacked the BJP government on Friday for burning a rape victim and asked why the prime minister Narendra Modi He was silent about the incident.

Congressional spokesman Ragini Nayak, while speaking with journalists in the Parliament complex, said that incidents of crimes against women are increasing in the states ruled by BJP.

Taking a blow to BJP's flagship scheme 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', he said that now people say they need to save their daughters from BJP leaders.

If the BJP government had not provided protection to people like Kuldeep Singh Sengar, the criminals would not have had the courage to burn another daughter, Nayak said.

Crimes against women are the highest in the states governed by BJP. A great reason for this is the ideology of the BJP that is against women, he said.

Congresswoman Amee Yajnik said that no matter what BJP says, the reality is that women are in panic.

The prime minister tweeted on different topics. But he gave no statement about Unnao. The women's and children's development minister made no statement. The Interior Minister also did not ask for any report. Why is that so? I ask.
