Germany confirms friendlies against Spain, Italy before Euro 2020

BERLIN: Germany will play friendly against other European powers, Spain and Italy, next March in preparation for Euro 2020 , he German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed.

Joachim Loew's side faces Spain in Madrid on March 26 and Italy on March 31 in Nuremberg before the European championship finals , which begin on June 12.

With Spain and Italy, we will face two exceptional teams in the pre-tournament period, which will be very valuable, said German team director Oliver Bierhoff.

Germany has been drawn in Group F for the final, which will be played in 12 cities in Europe, along with the headlines Portugal and the world champion France, and the fourth nation will be decided by a tiebreaker.

Germany plays against France in Munich on June 16, before receiving Portugal four days later at the Allianz Arena with their last group game scheduled for June 24, also in Munich.

Spain faces Sweden, Poland and a fourth team that has not yet qualified in Group E, while Italy is in Group A with Wales, Switzerland and Turkey, who play in the opening match in Rome.
