Jharkhand: 20 seats in the assembly go to the polls on Saturday amid strict security measures
EING SINGHBHUM: You are ready for the second phase of the assembly surveys on Saturday for which all preparations have been made.
Voting will take place in 20 seats of the assembly, of which six constituencies of the Assembly are located in the East Singhbum district.
The district administration and senior police officers have said they have taken all preventive measures to conduct the survey peacefully and fairly.
To verify the rumors on social networks, the district police have formed a monitoring cell.
We have identified 2,300 people who can alter the law and order at the time of voting. Notices have been sent to them, said Anup Birthray, the Superintendent of Police (SSP) for the district.
He said the state police and the (RPF) along with the CRPF have been deployed at the polling stations in the city, the assembly seats of Jamshedpur East and West.
In the constituencies of the assembly affected by the Maoists, the force of the central armed police (CAPF), including the jawans (CRPF) and BSF together with the state police personnel, have been deployed in strategic locations to avoid any adverse incident Birthray added.
The election of the assembly is held in Jharkhand in five phases. The results will be declared on December 23.
