Road safety conclave for teachers

The Road Traffic Education Institute (IRTE), Delhi, joined the UT traffic police to hold a road safety conclave for teachers in several public and private schools in Chandigarh. The program saw discussions about safe road with a thrust on new trends and changes. A skit on safe road titled “Paigam” was performed by the team of traffic marshals, whereas Dr Rohit Baluja, GO The principal highlighted 13 objectives to fall into the category of safe driver. A total of 153 teachers were present on the occasion, who were educated on various ways to disseminate information to children to reduce reckless driving and minor. They were told how a classroom is a perfect platform to teach children to become responsible drivers. Later, a workshop was held on the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act-2019, the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Driving) -2017 and other relevant rules.
