Pelosi instructs the panel of the US House of Representatives. UU. To write political trial articles against Trump

WASHINGTON: President of the US House of Representatives UU. Nancy Pelosi on Thursday he said he had instructed the Judicial Committee of the House to write articles of political judgment against the president Donald Trump about his effort to pressure Ukraine to investigate a political rival.

The facts are indisputable. The president abused his power for his own personal political benefit at the expense of our national security by retaining military aid and (a) a crucial meeting of the Oval Office in exchange for an announcement of an investigation into his political rival. Pelosi said in a televised statement.

Sadly, but with confidence and humility, with loyalty to our Founders and our hearts full of love for the United States, today I ask our president to proceed with the articles of political judgment, he added, referring to the president of the Judicial Committee of the Chamber of Representatives, Jerrold Nadler.

Pelosi made the statements a day after the Judicial Committee held a hearing in which three constitutional law experts called by Democratic lawmakers said Trump had participated in conduct that represents impeccable crimes under the Constitution. A fourth expert summoned by Republican lawmakers called the political trial investigation led by the rushed and flawed Democrats.

The House of Representatives Intelligence Committee presented this week the results of its investigation into Trump's push for Kiev to initiate an investigation related to former US Vice President Joe Biden, one of the leading candidates for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. Trump also wanted Ukraine to investigate the discredited theory that Ukraine, not Russia, meddled in the 2016 U.S. elections.

Democrats have accused Trump of abusing his power by withholding $ 391 million in security assistance from Ukraine, a US ally facing Russian aggression, to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to announce the investigation.

Trump has denied acting badly and called the investigation of political judgment a hoax.
