Shahid Kapoor and his father Pankaj Kapur meet after four years for 'Jersey'

Now, the movie will mark a meeting for Shahid and his father. Pankaj Kapur , which plays a fundamental role in the Allu Aravind , Production by Aman Gill and Dil Raju. According to a source close to the development, the veteran actor and filmmaker will play the mentor of Shahid's character and will be a strong pillar of support for him.

Pankaj admits that he is excited to be part of the movie. “'Jersey' is a strong story driven by emotions. Working with Shahid has always been interesting. I admire his ability to portray emotions beautifully, ”he said. By the way, his last film outing was also with his son in the 2015 romantic comedy, ' Shaandaar ', in which Pankaj had played Alia Bhatt's father. The father-son duo had previously collaborated in the director of Pankaj in 2011, 'Mausam', in which Shahid played an Air Force pilot with Sonam Kapoor as the protagonist.

Shahid, who plays a 30-year-old cricketer in the film, has been preparing for the role for almost two months on a piece of land in Mumbai and is preparing to start shooting from next week in Chandigarh.
