The governor of West Bengal enters the assembly through a door for the media and officials
KOLKATAt: Jagdeep Dhankhar had to wait on Thursday in front of the closed door no.3 of the state assembly, designated for the governor.
Later he entered the facilities of the assembly through door no.4, for the media and officials.
The incident, he said, has shamed the country's democratic history.
Why is door 3 closed? Despite my previous hint, the door is closed. The closing of the assembly does not mean that it is closed.
The blockade of the governor's door has shamed our democratic history, Dhankhar told reporters.
In accordance with the rules of the assembly, gate 3 is designated for the entry and exit of the governor.
Dhankhar had written on Wednesday to speaker Biman Banerjee expressing his desire to examine his facilities and also visit the library.
The speaker had abruptly suspended the Chamber for two days until December 5, since the bills that were scheduled to be placed could not be submitted since they had not yet received the approval of the governor, said the speaker at the assembly on Tuesday.
