Bigg Boss has changed my life and I will make the most of it
The small-screen heartbreaker Ali Reza never imagined that spending 100 days in a house with a group of strangers could change his career. The actor, who reached the top 5 in the recently concluded season of big boss Telugu, has taken full advantage of his new fame and bagged a Tollywood movie. The most desirable Hyderabad Times man on television 2018, Ali has accumulated a key role in Krishna Vamsi Rangamarthanda movie starring Prakash Raj , Ramya Krishnan and his big boss colleague Rahul Sipligunj. “The film, a remake of Nana Patekar 's Marathi flick Natsamrat, revolves around the tragic family life of a stage actor, the different people in his life and the challenges he goes through when his family leaves him, his love for theater, etc, ”says Ali, who began shooting for the film in Vizag this week. “I play a rich brat who’s just returned from a foreign country after completing an acting course. As an aspiring actor, he meets the protagonist (Prakash Raj), only to be told that he can never become an actor as he’s filled with attitude. He takes this as a challenge and sets out to prove his capability as an actor. It’s a strong role with a wonderful character arc, I couldn’t have asked for more, ”gushes Ali.
The actor, who’s known for his daily soaps like Maate Mantramu and Evare Nuvvu Mohini, says he’s excited to share screen space with stalwarts like Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan. “I haven’t started shooting with Prakash sir yet and I’m extremely nervous about it. He’s such a great actor and I hope I can do justice to the script and my role. I'm sure I will get to learn a lot from him, so I look forward to it, ”says Ali.
The actor confesses that film offers have been pouring in post his stint in big boss , but wants to ensure he makes the right choices. “Life definitely has changed post big boss . Earlier people knew who Ali Reza was, but now people recognise me on the streets. It feels surreal. However, this fame will last only till the next season starts and then people will talk about the next contestants. So I’m not taking anything for granted. I want to choose my films carefully and utilise every opportunity the best way that I can,” he says, adding, “I’m currently in talks with a big banner for the lead role in an upcoming film. The makers are yet to make the announcement, but it’s
a project that excites me a lot. I am happy with the way my career as an actress is emerging now.
