Chidambaram slapped false cases in PM, Shah, me: Gadkari
NEW DELHI: Just a few hours after the Supreme Court granted bail to former finance minister P on Wednesday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari alleged that false cases were filed against him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the minister of Interior Amit Shah during the mandate of the leader of Congress as interior minister. He said Chidambaram should do introspection about the mistakes he made.
“We have never been vindictive, rather he was vindictive as minister of the interior of the Union when Congress was in office. I had filed false cases against me, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Later, we all proved innocent, ”Gadkari told TOI by phone from Nagpur.
The minister also claimed that there is evidence of the cases against Chidambaram. “There have been investigations, now the matter is subjudicial and the court will make the decision. Let the law take its own course, ”he said.
BJP's national spokesman, Sambit Patra, said Chidambaram joined the Out On Bail Club and that bailing the former minister in a money laundering case was a classic case of Congress celebrating corruption. Looking at the opposition party, he said: Classic case of @INCIndia 'Celebrating corruption'! Finally, Chidambaram also joins the long list of OOBC (Out On Bail Club) in Congress. He joins the coveted Club, some of which are: 1) Sonia Gandhi 2) Rahul Gandhi 3) Robert Vadra 4) Motilal Vohra 5) Bhupinder Hooda 6) Sashi Tharoor Etc. ”
