Tour of Hyderabad: woman raped in group, shot and burned in Buxar de Bihar
PATNA/BUXAR: In a repeat of the group rape and murder of a veterinarian in Hyderabad last week, a woman was found shot dead and partially burned after she was allegedly raped in Buxar district early Tuesday.
Police said the woman in her 20s could not be identified as her face was charred without recognition. The incident came to light after the locals found her dead in a farmland on the outskirts of the village of Kukudha, which fakes under the Itadhi police station.
Dr. B N. Choubey, the medical officer of the Sadar de Buxar hospital who performed the autopsy, said: “The woman's private parts had severe burn injuries and no swabs could be taken. There is evidence to suggest that the victim was raped in a group before being killed. The woman seemed to be between 20 and 22 years old. The nature of his head injuries suggests that he was shot at close range. His face is burned beyond recognition.
The doctor said she was wearing socks and sandals and had polished her nails. “Her medical reports confirmed that she was not pregnant. She seemed single or newly married, ”he said.
Buxar SP Upendra Nath Verma said a spent cartridge was found in the place where it lay dead. His killers set him on fire to destroy evidence, he said. The SHOs of neighboring police stations in the Rohtas district have also been asked to assist their counterparts in Buxar in the investigation.
Verma said that all police stations in Buxar and their adjacent districts have been asked to verify the list of girls or women who have been reported missing by their relatives.
DSP (Buxar) Satish Kumar said the killers used straw to burn his body. “Forensic experts have collected clues from the place. We are trying to find out if the woman was killed there or killed elsewhere, ”he said.
When he contacted him, Jitendra Kumar (ADGP) said that a forensic team had been sent from the police headquarters to Buxar to collect evidence of the place. A scientific investigation will be conducted in the case to identify the real culprits, he told this newspaper.
Buxar DM Raghvendra Singh said it would be early to reach a conclusion until the post mortem report is received.
The RJD opposition criticized the state government for the increase in crime in Bihar. RJD MLA of Maner Bhai Birendra said there is no state of law that is worth his name in the state. The criminals are on the prowl and attack at any time and in any place while CM Nitish Kumar is practically in his chunavi yatra (electoral tour) under the Jal-Jivan-Haryali campaign attire. People have been allowed to manage alone, ”he said.
