Liverpool faces Everton, Arsenal faces Leeds United in the third round of the FA Cup

LONDON: Liverpool will play against Merseyside rivals Everton while recording FA Cup winners Arsenal entertain Leeds United in the third round of the competition after Monday's draw.

Premier League leaders Liverpool, who last won the trophy in 2006, host neighbors Everton at Anfield.

Arsenal , who have lifted the FA Cup 13 times, were drawn against Championship (second-tier) side Leeds, whose only FA Cup win came against the Gunners in the 1972 final.

Manchester City holders receive the League Two (fourth level) team, Port Vale, while Manchester United visits Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The AFC Fylde of the National League, the team with the lowest rank guaranteed in a third place, was dragged into the Premier League Sheffield United.

Boston United of the Northern National League, the sixth level of English soccer , they could face Newcastle United if they beat Rochdale in a second round at home.

Chelsea host Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur travel to Middlesbrough and Leicester City welcomes Wigan Athletic in the selection of the other games.

Draws will be played from January 3 to 6.
