Maruti Suzuki will increase prices from January to compensate for the increase in input costs

NEW DELHI: the largest car manufacturer in the country Maruti Suzuki India On Tuesday he said he will increase the prices of his vehicles from January to compensate for the rising costs of inputs.

Over the past year, the cost of company's vehicles has been impacted adversely due to increase in various input costs, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing.

Therefore, it has become imperative that the company transfer some impact of the previous additional cost to customers through a price increase in several models in January 2020, he added.

This price increase will vary for different models, the company said.

Currently, the company sells a range of vehicles that start from a small car of high entry level to a premium multi-purpose vehicle XL6 with a price that varies from Rs 2.89 lakh to Rs 11.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
