Tesla CEO Elon Musk faces a libel lawsuit for 'pedo guy' tweet
LOS ANGELES: CEO of Tesla Elon musk and his problematic tweets go to trial in a case that confronts the billionaire against a British diver who he allegedly called a pedophile.
Vernon Unsworth, who helped rescue young soccer players trapped underwater in a Thailand Cave will take his defamation case against Musk to the jury on Tuesday at the federal court in Los Angeles.
Musk apologized for lashing out at Unsworth the Twitter Calling him a fart boy after the diver belittled Musk's efforts to help save trapped children.
Musk will be called to testify about the tweet widely interpreted as a reference to a pedophile.
Musk also had problems with regulators and agreed to pay $ 40 million in an agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for Tesla tweets that sent fluctuations in the shares.
