Raajhorshee Of whose directorial debut ‘ Purbo Poschim Dokkhin Uttor Ashbei He has received mixed reviews since his recent release is in a happy space and why not? His first film is prepared for three screenings at festivals. The supernatural thriller is an official selection at the Jaipur International Film Festival, the Telangana Bengali Film Festival and the Diorama International Film Festival and Market.

Interestingly, ‘Purbo Poschim Dokkhin Uttor Ashbei’ is not his first film, at least chronologically speaking. Raajhorshee has two more films, ‘Birpurush’ and ‘Shubho Noboborsho’ in the pipeline. However, because of production issues, both were stuck in a limbo. But, we hear ‘Birpurush’ is finally gearing up for a theatrical release. He is making another film titled ‘Rifle’.
Returning to its supernatural thriller, the film is based on the best-selling Avik Sarkar Ebong Inquisition book and has a cast that includes Rudraprasad Sengupa, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee , Gaurav Chakrabarty , Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty, Anyann Bhowmick.
The plot deals with paranormal elements, psychic situations, blind faith in black magic and witchcraft. This is the first time a paranormal detective is seen in a Bengali film, which is also a real-life historical character named Krishananda Agambagish. He comes as a time traveler in all stories.
