BENGALURU: Congress leader D K Shivakumar on Monday deposed before the income tax officials related to an alleged case of tax evasion, family sources said.
"Yes, Shivakumar was summoned by the income tax officials. They have been calling the other family members and relatives," Shivakumar's younger brother and MP D K Suresh told PTI.
According to family sources, the leader had requested exemption from appearing before officials, as he has to campaign for the elections scheduled for December 5.
But, the detectives did not allow it and asked him to lay before them.
It is known that in the next few days his other relatives would also appear before the officials.
