IPL 2020 auction: 971 players will face on December 19

NEW DELHI: Up to 971 cricket players, including 713 Indians and 258 foreign players, will be at stake in the IPL player auction to be held in Calcutta on December 19.

There are 215 players with limit, 754 without limit and two cricketers of the Associated Nation, who will compete for the 73 available seats.

With the IPL player registration closed on November 30, franchises will now have time until December 9 at night to submit their list of players that will form the final player auction list.

Among the registered players, 19 are Indians with limit, 634 Indians without limit, 60 are Indians without limit who have played at least one IPL match, 196 cricketers are international with limit, 60 international without limit and two are from Associated Nations .

Hugh Edmeades will put the balls back on the stand during the auction that will see cricketers from Afghanistan (19), Australia (55), Bangladesh (6), England (22), Netherlands (1), New Zealand (24) , South Africa (54), Sri Lanka (39), USA UU. (1), the West Indies (34) and Zimbabwe (3) go under the hammer.
